Reload Data for Data View
This section walks the user through the process of reloading data to an existing data view. This will ensure that any missing or recently updated data is refreshed and help maintain data accuracy.
Please note, the processes for editing a data view and reloading data are interconnected. You can reload data while editing a data view, and you can also edit a data view while reloading data. Both actions will bring you into edit mode, allowing you to update data files as needed and modify the name and description of the data view.
To reload data for an existing data view, follow the process below:
Expand on Data view
On the Data Views page, expand on the Data View you wish to reload data for.

Select Reload data
Select the Reload data button to. This will automatically open Step 2 in the Data View Wizard.
To access the Reload Data feature the Data View must have a status of "Available".

Step 2. Load data
On Step 2, depending on whether the data view was created via file upload or a connected data source, you have two options listed below for reloading its data:
Option 1: Data Views Created by File Upload
You can replace the current data file(s) with a new file by uploading a new one.
Expand on the data file field.
This will display the area to upload the new data file(s) in to replace the current file(s) in use.
Replace Current File through one of two methods:
Method 1: Drag and drop the file into the upload field.
Method 2: Select "choose from folder" to browse your device and select the file.
Note: Replacing data files is optional.

Once you have loaded your new data files into the file upload field(s), select the Preview Data button.

Option 2: Data Views Created Using a Connected Database
You can refresh the current data to pull in the latest updates from the connected source.
Expand on the data file field.
This will display the Preview Data button
Select Preview Data
This will retrieve the most recent data from the connected source. Since data is sourced dynamically, no file upload is required for this step.

After you select Preview Data, a modal window will display a preview of the first 10 records retrieved for you to review and confirm that the data to be loaded is correct.
To close the Data Preview, select Close Preview.
Please note, the data preview functions the same way for both file uploads and connected data sources.

Once you have reviewed and closed out of the data preview, select Next: Review to proceed to Step 3.
Select "Back" if you need to revise any previous steps.
Select "Cancel" or "Close" to exit the wizard, which will discard any information entered or progress made up to that point.
Step 3. Review Summary
On Step 3, you can view the Impact analysis, showing how your changes may affect existing reports created with the Data View.

Once you are finished reviewing the impact analysis, select Next: Save to proceed to Step 4.
Select "Back" if you need to revise any previous steps.
Select "Cancel" or "Close" to exit the wizard, which will discard any information entered or progress made up to that point.

Name this data view
The title field will automatically update to include the current date each time the report is updated. This serves as a unique identifier applied to all data views.
